Panerai's Luminor grew out of instruments built for the divers of the Italian Navy, and the crown-protecting bridge on the right of the case — the detail that makes a Panerai identifiable across a room — is a direct inheritance from that work. PAM00113 is one of the purest expressions of the line: a 44mm steel case, a clean white dial, and a hand-wound movement visible through a sapphire display back. Worn on leather with a tang buckle, it has the presence of a tool watch without any of the clutter.
