Description

A very rare and exceptional 18kt yellow gold hunter case pocket watch signed Sir John Bennett; (makers to the late Queen Victoria). He was one of Englands more famous 19th century watchmakers. White porcelain dial with Roman numeral hour markers; blue hands. Hallmark: 18KT. Sir John Bennett. 65 Cheapside. The movement is protected by an inner hinged dust cover. 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and top loop. 121 grams in weight. Circa 1920(+/-). Reference #: 54417. The dial has a hairline crack. Two small dents on side of case due to age.
